2.00″ PITCH BARE DIGGING CHAIN & DIGGING CHAIN ASSEMBLY
(Pitch is the center-to-center measurement of the chain pins)
(Number of links on a chain is the number of chain pins divided by 2)
STANDARD CHAIN 2″ CUP TOOTH CHAIN 6″ CUT
2.0” The standard trencher chain has 50% cup teeth, with a tooth on every other station. This design helps clay fall off the chain, preventing it from clogging the boom. It works well in conditions such as sand, sandy loam, loose shale, loose soil, and sticky clay.
2″ PITCH DOUBLE STANDARD BARE CHAIN
2.0″ pitch bare trencher chain.
2″ PITCH CUP DOUBLE STANDARD CUP TOOTH CHAIN 6″ CUT
The double standard trencher chain has100% cup teeth, with a tooth on every station. It works well in conditions such as sand, sandy loam, loose shale, loose soil, and clay, Sandy loam, Topsoil, fill dirt. Great chain for shallow trenches.
2″ PITCH 50/50 COMBO CHAIN 6″ CUT
(CARBIDE TIPPED BULLET BITS & CUP TOOTH)
This 50/50 chain setup makes it easy to trench through almost any type of ground. The replaceable carbide-tipped bullet bits are bolted to the chain to break solid hard dirt or rock, while the cup teeth follow to clean out the trench. This double standard 50/50 chain delivers top performance in highly compacted soils and rock. If you conditions are more solid and deeper then look at the H-Plate or Alligator chains. These are welding chain with a high aggressive cut.
2″ PITCH 50/50 COMBO CHAIN 6″ CUT
This 50/50 chain assembly is designed for trenching in a wide range of digging conditions. The shark side mounts outlast the chain itself, and with tungsten carbide tips, they sharpen as they dig, maintaining maximum cutting power. Sharks are known to pull while cutting, making this chain great for tree roots and frozen ground,. The cup teeth follow behind, cleaning out the trench. This chain is good for rock, Loose soil, hard dirt, medium clay, and rock/dirt mix. Not good for a solid rock. If you dig in solid rock or solid conditions the H-plate or alligator chains will be more productive for this type of trenching.
2″ SHARK TOOTH WELDED CHAIN 6″ CUT.
The welded shark tooth chain is a low-profile, maintenance-free option. Its carbide-tipped teeth outlast the chain itself, making it perfect for digging through hard rock, caliche, coral, limestone, and other tough conditions with low dirt content. Unlike carbide bits that spin and hit the material, shark teeth pull through it, fracturing rock or other substances while pulling at the same time. It’s also great for cutting through roots or working in frozen ground.
2″ PITCH ROCK & FROST CHAIN 6″ CUT
This is an aggressive bolted chain. The bolt-on rock and frost chain works well with solid rock, coral, limestone, caliche, and compacted applications, among others. Like all our other large ride-on chains, it comes with a .765 carbide bullet that spins to fracture hard materials, breaking apart solid surfaces. When trenching in less dirt, this chain is preferable since it has no cup teeth. It’s not recommended for deeper solid conditions; the Alligator or H-Plate chains are better suited for those.
2″ PITCH BULLET H-PLATE CHAIN 6″ CUT
This is one tough chain—aggressive and ready to power through the hardest applications like rock, limestone, cement, asphalt, coral, hardpan, packed gravel mixes, shale, sandstone, and river rock. Avoid trenching in solid granite, solid basalt, quartzite, or any monolithic rock edge. For sand, run the trencher slow for best results. In frozen ground, the shark chain is your best bet. RDP’s H-Plate chain adds stability and reduces side-to-side chain whip. You can also ask about the alligator chain—it’s the most aggressive chain available. Both the H-Plate and alligator chains come in widths from 6″ to 14”, and we keep all parts in stock.
