3.067″ CUP TOOTH CHAIN  6″ CUT

UT31106W04 adj 1200x800

The 3.067″ pitch cup tooth chain for upper-medium size ride-on trenchers works great for dirt, sand, loose shale, sandy loam, and clay. It’s perfect for shallow trenching, with anti-back flex and 110 lbs. tensile strength. RDP also offers the heavy-duty 3.110″ pitch that fits all 3.067″ sprockets, boasting 150lbs. tensile strength. Tensile strength refers to the maximum pulling force a trencher’s cutting blade or carbide can handle before breaking. Bolt-on chains make it possible to give the chain a wider cut.

3.067″ 50/50 COMBO CHAIN 6″ CUT

(CARBIDE TIPPED BULLET BITS & CUP TOOTH)
3.067 5050 COMBO CHAIN 6 CUT

This 50/50 chain configuration enables trenching in most ground types. Carbide-tipped, replaceable bullet bits handle tough digging, while double carbide cup teeth clean the trench. Suitable for hard compact ground, medium and hard rock (not for solid rock or extreme conditions, as bolts may break), clay, and dirt. For solid applications, consider welded chains. This is the has the tensile strength of 110 lbs. chain; a 150 lbs. heavy-duty version is also available. Tensile strength refers to the maximum pulling force the trencher’s blade or carbide can withstand before breaking. You can widen the trencher with a bolted chain option.

3.067″ PITCH 50/50 COMBO CHAIN 6″ CUT

(CARBIDE TIPPED SHARK TEETH & CUP TOOTH)
3.067 PITCH 5050 COMBO CHAIN 6 CUT

This 50/50 chain setup works well for trenching in most soils. The carbide-tipped, non-replaceable shark teeth last longer than the life of the chain, making it low-maintenance.  Tungsten carbide shark teeth handle the toughest soils, while cup teeth clean out the trench. It’s great for hard, compact ground, medium to hard rock (but not solid rock or extreme conditions, as bolts may break), as well as clay and dirt. For solid applications and not hardly any dirt, welded chains are recommended. This chain has a tensile strength of 70 lbs., with a 110 lbs. heavy-duty version available. Tensile strength is the maximum pulling force the trencher’s blade or carbide can take before breaking. You can also widen the trencher with a bolted chain option.

3.067″ SHARK TOOTH WELDED CHAIN 6″ CUT

UT26506S04 1200x798

The welded shark tooth chain is a low-profile, maintenance-free option. Its carbide-tipped teeth outlast the chain itself, making it perfect for digging through hard rock, caliche, coral, limestone, and other tough conditions with low dirt content. Unlike carbide bits that spin and hit the material, shark teeth pull through it, fracturing rock or other substances while pulling at the same time. It’s also great for cutting through roots or working in areas with large rocks but not fully solid ground. This model weighs 110 lbs., but RDP also offers a heavy-duty version with a tensile strength of 150 lbs.—the maximum pulling force the trencher’s blade or carbide can handle before breaking.

3.067″ ROCK & FROST CHAIN 6″ CUT

       (CARBIDE TIPPED BULLET BITS)

UT31106R04 adj 1200x800

This is an aggressive bolted chain. The bolt-on rock and frost chain works well with solid rock, coral, limestone, caliche, and compacted applications, among others. Like all our other large ride-on chains, it comes with a .765 carbide bullet that spins to fracture hard materials, breaking apart solid surfaces. When trenching in less dirt, this chain is preferable since it has no cup teeth. It’s not recommended for deeper solid conditions; the Alligator or H-Plate chains are better suited for those. This model has 110 lbs. tensile strength, but RDP also offers a 150 lbs strength option. Tensile strength is the maximum pulling force the trencher’s carbide can handle before breaking.

3.067″ BULLET H-PLATE CHAIN 6″ CUT

UT26506H04 KO 600x400

This is one tough chain—aggressive and ready to power through the hardest applications like rock, limestone, cement, asphalt, coral, hardpan, packed gravel mixes, shale, sandstone, and river rock. Avoid trenching in solid granite, solid basalt, quartzite, or any monolithic rock edge. For sand, run the trencher slowly for best results. In frozen ground, the shark chain is your best bet. RDP’s H-Plate chain adds stability and reduces side-to-side chain whip. You can also ask about the alligator chain—it’s the most aggressive chain available. Both the H-Plate and alligator chains come in widths from 6″ to 16″, and we keep all parts in stock.
